This is something that has been covered before, but perhaps the followers could help spread the word… Tipping is how many of us make our money.

At my particular establishment, I make my money directly from tips. I have no $8.00 an hour minimum. In fact, at the end of my shift I even have to give out money. It is very important that you leave something. Imagine having a table that orders $50 worth of food. (That’s a lot of work for a table of 2-4.) You’ll be making a few more trips to refill drinks, etc. They ask for their bill, pay, and leave. You look at the table and they’ve left a mess, but no tip. You did everything right and you’ve just worked for free when you should have made at least $10. Being uneducated about tipping and being just plain stingy obviously varies from person to person, but by spreading this post, at least we can fix the first problem.

If you’re going out, have money to tip. Bottom line. If you don’t have the money, the dollar menu at McDonald’s is the exact same thing. You wouldn’t want to work all day for no type of paycheck, so neither do we. Keep that in mind.
